Product Features and Applications

The core advantage of 4SG insulating glass lies in "warm-edge sealing + high-efficiency energy saving". It adopts integrated warm-edge sealing tape to replace traditional aluminum spacers, completely eliminating the edge cold bridge effect and avoiding condensation and mildew on glass edges in winter. The U-value is as low as 1.4 W/(㎡·K), far exceeding that of traditional insulating glass. Equipped with Low-e coating and high-purity argon gas filling, the infrared blocking rate reaches ≥85%, blocking high temperature in summer and locking heat in winter. Meanwhile, integrated sealing eliminates manual gluing errors, with an annual air leakage rate ≤0.5%, ensuring more stable sealing performance.

Applicable scenarios cover all types of energy-saving buildings:

Residential applications: Suitable for ordinary residences, old community renovation, and noise-sensitive residential buildings facing streets; can directly replace traditional glass without modifying the original frame.

Commercial applications: Used in office buildings, ordinary hotels, schools and shops to meet general energy-saving and sound insulation requirements.

Special scenarios: Adaptable to severe cold regions in northern China (anti-cold bridge) and skylights of multi-story buildings, balancing energy saving and installation convenience.

It can be equipped with single-silver/double-silver Low-e coating to flexibly adapt to different climate regions and energy-saving budgets.

Production Details

The whole production process adopts an automated assembly line. The base glass is high-quality float glass, which undergoes water-free and dust-free cleaning and vacuum drying before entering the core process: the integrated warm-edge sealing tape is precisely bonded to the glass through high-precision equipment, built-in high-efficiency desiccant absorbs water vapor, and high-purity argon gas (concentration ≥90%) is filled to improve thermal and sound insulation performance; Low-e coating is deposited on the inner side of the cavity as required, and finally full tempering treatment is carried out to enhance mechanical properties. There is no manual gluing in the whole process, avoiding sealing errors and ensuring product consistency.

The warm-edge sealing tape is made of weather-resistant polymer material, which can withstand temperature changes from -40℃ to 80℃, with excellent anti-aging and UV resistance, avoiding sealing failure caused by thermal expansion and contraction. The glass edge is finely ground and chamfered, without burrs or edge chipping, reducing stress concentration and breakage risk. The built-in desiccant absorbs water vapor in the cavity for a long time to prevent fogging and condensation. After full tempering treatment, the glass breaks into obtuse particles, ensuring safe use, and the overall service life is ≥20 years.

Summary of Core Product Advantages

No Thermal Bridge with Warm Edge: Integrated tape replaces aluminum spacers, completely solving edge condensation, ensuring more uniform indoor temperature in winter, and suitable for severe cold areas.

High Airtightness and Durability: No manual gluing errors, annual air leakage rate ≤0.5%, sealing performance far exceeds traditional processes, service life ≥20 years.

Convenient and Efficient Installation: Same size and weight as traditional insulated glass, can be directly replaced without frame modification, making renovation of old residential communities more convenient.

Reliable Safety Performance: Full tempering treatment ensures strong impact resistance, finely ground edges avoid stress concentration, suitable for various scenarios of high and low-rise buildings.

Cost-Effective Energy Saving: Balances energy-saving effect and cost, more cost-effective than multi-panel glass and triple-silver Low-e glass, suitable for bulk procurement projects.

Instructions for Use and Precautions

Installation must be operated by professionals, using special pressure strips and neutral glass glue for fixing to ensure uniform stress on the glass. It is forbidden to knock the glass corners. It can directly replace traditional insulated glass, and no additional frame modification is required for old renovation.

For daily cleaning, gently wipe with a soft cloth and neutral detergent. It is forbidden to use steel wool or sharp objects to scratch the glass surface, and avoid contact of acidic or alkaline reagents with the warm-edge sealing tape to prevent corrosion and aging.

Regularly check the cavity sealing. If fogging, water ingress or condensation occurs, the entire window glass needs to be replaced in time. Such situations are mostly caused by sealing failure, and the installation accuracy needs to be checked simultaneously.

Avoid heavy objects hitting the glass, especially high-rise doors, windows and floor-to-ceiling windows, to prevent breakage and falling; if cracks appear, stop using and replace immediately to avoid further damage to the sealing structure.

Do not rinse with cold water immediately after high-temperature exposure, and remove snow and ice on the glass surface in winter to avoid glass cracking caused by excessive temperature difference or uneven stress.

It is forbidden to disassemble the cavity or cut the glass privately, so as not to damage the integrated warm-edge sealing structure and cause complete failure of the product's energy-saving and sealing performance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the difference between the "warm-edge sealing" of 4SG insulated glass and traditional aluminum spacer sealing?

A: The core difference lies in thermal bridge and sealing accuracy. The warm-edge tape has no thermal conductivity, completely eliminating the edge thermal bridge (no condensation in winter); and the integrated molding has no manual gluing errors, with an annual air leakage rate of only 0.5%, and the sealing life far exceeds that of traditional aluminum spacers.

Q: Can 4SG insulated glass directly replace the traditional insulated glass at home?

A: Yes. It has the same size and weight as traditional insulated glass, no need to modify the door and window frames, and directly adapts to the original installation holes and pressure strips. No additional frame cost is required for energy-saving renovation of old residential communities.

Q: Will the filled argon gas leak? Does it affect the use effect?

A: The leakage rate is extremely low. The integrated sealing structure makes the annual argon leakage rate ≤0.5%, and more than 80% concentration can be maintained after 15 years of normal use, which will not significantly affect the thermal and sound insulation effect.

Q: Will the sealing tape of 4SG insulated glass age?

A: It will age slowly, but the service life is guaranteed. The tape is made of weather-resistant polymer material, UV and high/low temperature resistant, with a normal aging cycle of ≥20 years, far exceeding the service life of traditional sealants (10-15 years).

Q: Can it solve the problem of glass edge condensation when used in severe cold areas in northern China?

A: Yes. Warm-edge sealing completely blocks edge heat conduction without thermal bridge effect. Even if the indoor and outdoor temperature difference is large in winter, the glass edge will not condense or mildew, keeping the indoor dry and tidy.

Q: Is 4SG insulated glass suitable for use in severe cold areas in northern China?

A: Very suitable. Warm-edge sealing can completely solve the problem of glass edge condensation and mildew in northern winter. The triple-glass double-cavity version has a U-value as low as 1.4, which can greatly reduce indoor heat loss, lower heating energy consumption, and adapt to -40℃ low temperature environment.

Q: Will the greenish tint of clear glass affect the decoration effect?

A: No. The greenish tint of clear glass is slight and can only be noticed when large-area glass is spliced or at specific light angles. It does not affect the overall decoration effect in daily residential and commercial scenarios at all, and can be weakened through curtains, lighting and other collocations, with cost performance far exceeding ultra-clear glass.
